Thelonious Monk/Телониус Монк

Тело́ниус Монк (Thelonious Monk, 1917—1982) — легендарный американский джазовый пианист и композитор, известен как один из родоначальников стиля бибоп. Был непримиримым авангардистом и ниспровергателем всяческих музыкальных догм. Мировое признание пришло к нему в конце 50-х — середине 60-х прошлого века, после большого зарубежного турне, прославившегно Монка как автора и исполнителя таких композиций как Round About Midnight, Straight No Chaser, Blue Monk, Misterioso, Monk’s Dream, I Mean You, Rhyth-maning и др.
